Experienced Spanish Sebastian Saiz (205-PF-1994) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for league's leader Alvark Tokyo and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 13.
The 31-year old power forward had the game-high 38 points adding seven rebounds for Alvark Tokyo in his team's victory, helping them to edge out Xac Broncos (#3, 3-3) 97-93. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. It allowed Alvark to consolidate first place in the East Asia Super League. Alvark Tokyo have a solid 5-1 record. In the team's last game Saiz had a remarkable 58.8% from 2-point range. He has many years of experience at Alvark, through which he has constantly improved. The University of Mississippi graduate has very impressive stats this year. Saiz is in league's top in points (4th best: 26.0ppg) and averages solid 64.8% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young American guard DJ Newbill (193-G-1992) of league's best team Link Tochigi Brex Utsunomiya. Newbill impressed basketball fans with 27 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Of course he led Tochigi Brex to another comfortable win 105-88 over slightly lower-ranked Fubon Braves (#3, 2-4) being unquestionably team leader. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Tochigi Brex consolidated its place in the very top position of the standings. His team has currently 4-2 record. Newbill is one of the most experienced players at Tochigi Brex and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

The third best performed player last round was Iranian Aaron Geramipoor (213-C-1992) of Taipei Fubon Braves (#3). Geramipoor scored 22 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. Despite Geramipoor's great performance the Braves lost 88-105 to #1 ranked Tochigi Brex. But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. The chances of Fubon Braves not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 4 games, recording just two victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Geramipoor could try to bring Fubon Braves' a little bit higher in the standings. Geramipoor has a very solid season. In 5 games in East Asia Super League he scored 12.0ppg.
